About this week’s guest:
Sir Muir Gray
Sir Muir Gray is one of the UK’s leading public health experts and a lifelong advocate for prevention, healthy ageing, and movement as medicine. With a distinguished career in the NHS, he was instrumental in establishing national screening programmes and pioneering knowledge management through the National Library for Health.
Now in his 80s, Muir continues to lead a public health revolution focused on helping people live longer, better. He is the author of several influential books, including his latest, Dr Gray’s Walking Cure, which promotes walking as a simple, powerful tool for preventing disease and maintaining vitality at any age.
He is also the force behind initiatives like Live Longer Better and the creation of activity prescriptions, which aim to put lifestyle medicine on equal footing with pharmaceuticals. Through his work, Muir is shifting the narrative around ageing - one step at a time.
